Our friends at
Troegs are releasing their early fall seasonal, Troegs Dead Reckoning Porter today. They describe it as a dark unfiltered ale featuring roasted barley, chocolate malts and Chinook hops.
Look for it in better bars and distributors in the coming days.

Friday
It’s First Friday and Ironworks, yeah the gym, is hosting a “secret” First Friday party. Expect snacks and drinks provided by Bluecoat Gin and Triumph Brewing. Incidentally progress continues on the new Triumph location on the 100 block of Chestnut Street.
If you’re not looking for whine and cheese, how about some beer and cheese. DiBruno cheese to be exact. This and every First Friday DiBruno Brothers hosts a tasting with a local brewer. This month it is Weyerbacher beers being paired with DiBruno’s cheeses. $40 a person.
Saturday
Head to Harrisburg and enjoy the tapping of Mad Elf at Troegs. But be sure to arrange for transportation back as the Elf weighs in at 11% alcohol.
If you’re looking for something a little different how about checking out Al’Dana in Chestnut Hill. Authentic Middle Eastern food and on Saturdays, belly dancers!
Sunday
No Eagles this weekend so why not enjoy a relaxing brunch. G-ho’s Ants Pants beckons. But if you need your competitive fix, Kegs and Eggs at the Pour House in East Falls might be more your style. $1 Bloody Marys, Screwdrivers and Miller High Lifes from 8 AM! Flip Cups and Beer Pong as well!
