Joe Sixpack profiles a good deal in Manayunk. Terrace Street Bistro has a three course meal for $31.50 on Thursdays which would be good enough but then throw in all you can drink home brew from Chef Josh Hunter and according to Mr. Sixpack, this guy can brew.

West Philadelphia’s Rx is offering a three course prix-fixe dinner through the rest of the year. Every Tuesday through Thursday you can pick an appetizer, entree and dessert for just $30.

Tonight and every Thursday at North Bowl you can enjoy $2.50 pints of Kenzinger all night long. Tonight from 6 to 8pm there will also be Philadelphia Brewing Co. giveaways. Maybe you can snag one of those slick new Kenzinger tees.

The Quarter, Chef Michael Solomonov’s exploration of modern Middle Eastern cuisine at Zahav will begin dinner service every Thursday, starting on June 26th. There will be two different six-course menus: a Chef’s Tasting and a Vegetable Tasting.

Highlights include Sweetbreads with crispy chicken skin and tehina and Eggplant “Al Ha’esh” with sesame and almond puree. Sounds like at one side of the table will be grossed out by the other! The cost is $65 per person, $100 with wine pairings and seating is limited.

Every Thursday a group of runners meet up in Fishtown and set out on a run to a bar and they’re doing it for science.

The Mission
The primary mission is to test the results of a scientific research study conducted by Manuel J Castillo-Garzon, MD, PhD, Professor of Medical Physiology, School of Medicine, at the University of Granada. The study said it is better to drink beer rather than water after a long run. (FINE PRINT: until this is proven, we encourage proper water hydration while running)
