NachosNY.com is just what it sounds like, a nacho site out of New York. They review nachos and offer “Chos Before Hoes” t-shirts. Lee Frank who runs the site is originally from Philadelphia and is going to be hosting a “curated” nacho crawl here on Saturday, November 28th. $10 will get you nachos at the Royal Tavern, Taqueria Veracruzana La Lupe and Cantina Los Caballitos.

The Royal Tavern’s burger and beer bash was such a mob scene on Tuesday that they’re doing it again tonight. Also on the menu tonight is the most voted for special, the Smoked Duck Club. Specials start at 5pm.

More on the Royal Tavern’s 7th anniversary. On Wednesday, November 11th the week long fun begins with a night for vegans and vegetarians. All of the blackboard specials will be vegetarian or vegan items and there will be a specialty cocktails crafted from cruelty free ingredients. It all starts at 5pm and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to PAWS.

Things never stay the same, even delicious sandwiches like Paesano’s namesake sandwich. Formerly, the Paesano was a slow roasted beef sandwich with roasted tomato, coleslaw, Pepperoncino and Gorgonzola but has now been reformulated to feature beef brisket and fried egg.

Tuesday November 17th will mark the seventh anniversary of the Royal Tavern. To celebrate, the Bella Vista gastropub will be featuring DJs, drink specials, party favors and some of the most popular menu items and specials of all-time.

The Food Network has named a top burger from all of the 50 states and the network puts the Royal Tavern’s Royal burger at number one for Pennsylvania.

The thick patty comes on a brioche bun with caramelized onions, bacon, gouda, chili mayonnaise and pickled hot peppers.

Picking one top burger is fraught with peril, but we admit, we do love us the Royal Burger.
