Michael Klein’s Table Talk talks Fall openings, and there are a lot. Here are a few highlights:
Xochitl will take over the old Filo spot at Headhouse Square. It’ll be a “posh Mexican” by the Marigold Kitchen people.
Oceanaire Seafood Room is now targeting mid-October for it’s opening. Peaking in the windows does reveal some recent progress.
Maia, just off the Blue Route in Villanova is aiming higher than restaurant, it’ll be complete with bar, dance floor, and conference center.
Michael Klein has lots more in his column, take a look.

According to PhilaFoodie the August edition of Wine Spectator lists the Melting Pot, The Oceanaire Seafood Room, and Old Original Bookbinders with the Award of Excellence, “an award recognizing lists that have a well-chosen selection of at least 100 wines by quality producers and a thematic match to the menu in both price and style.”
One problem with that though, The Oceanaire Seafood Room hasn’t opened yet. Kind of makes you wonder how valid a list it is.
