Next Iron Chef Episode 6-UMAMI (Deliciousness)

Top Chef and Next Iron Chef –Where We Stand

Things have been a bit hectic lately with World Series festivities, but our favorite culinary reality TV shows have been chugging along. We started with 17 dizzying contestants on Top Chef and are now down to 6. The Next Iron Chef wasted no time trimming the fat and we are already left with the final 4. Next Iron Chef Episode 3- Innovation

Next Iron Chef Premiere- Fearlessness

The dramatic music, excited Chairman, and smug Alton Brown were all present for the much hyped night. Also in the house was Philly’s own Jose Garces.  Let the battle begin……

The Next Iron Chef Preview

The Food Network is set to begin the second season of “The Next Iron Chef” and Philly’s own Jose Garces is among the 10 chefs vying for his own hydraulic lift in Kitchen Stadium. Anya Fernald, Donatella Arpaia, and Jeffrey Steingarten are the judges while Alton Brown hosts. Here’s a rundown of the contestants, some odds, speculation and predictions for the upcoming season.

As Seen On TV

jose_garces_thumbsJennifer Carroll is kicking it on Top Chef: Las Vegas. Tony Luke Jr. steals the show no matter what he’s on and Sunday. Philadelphia is being represented on all sorts of food related TV shows and Sunday, Jose Garces makes his much-anticipated debut on The Next Iron Chef.

And if you want to watch the debut of Next Iron Chef with Jose Garces, make reservations for the viewing party at Distrito. The party kicks off at 8pm with passed hors d’oeuvres, house and frozen margaritas, and cans of Tecate. Admission is $35 and reservations are suggested.
