Meal Ticket has the latest on the ongoing saga regarding Brew’s liquor license. Now the PLCB has requested a signed document stating Brew’s hours of operation and that they will have an ID-swiping machine on the premises before the board grants the license. Of course this document may not be ready for the board’s February 10th meeting, so there may be more delays.

Grub Street has all the details on a farmhouse ale dinner at South Philadelphia Tap Room. Occurring on Sunday, September 20th at 7pm, the $75 all inclusive dinner will include courses from SPTR’s Scott Schroeder as well as Gene Giuffi of Cochon, Sheri Wade of Southwark and Nick Macri of Beneluxx plus Patrick O’Malley of New York’s Balthazar Bakery.

This Saturday South Philadelphia Taproom is hosting their always fun Wheat Beer Fest. There will be 30 different wheat beers to try and each will be just $3 per glass.

There will also be live music and grilling outside. Look for pulled pork, grilled chicken and vegan mushroom kabobs on the grill.
