Moshulu Shines at Philly Cooks

The other night Philly Cooks featured chefs from 40+ restaurants cooking up their best at the Philadelphia Magazine sponsored benefit for Ronald McDonald House. Yours truly was a judge and was indeed most impressed by Moshulu’s diver scallops.

Cheap Dates At Penn’s Landing

Audrey and Mark head down to Penn’s Landing for a cheap date visiting the ships, the Gazela and the Moshulu then visiting the Independence Seaport Museum.

At the Moshulu they stop for lunch and enjoy a shrimp burger, chicken salad and drinks for $55.

Bongo Bar Lobster For $20

Bongo Deck - Spiced Lobster

The Bongo Bar & Deck at the Moshulu is offering a pretty nice deal through July, lobster for just $20.

The Grilled Island Spiced Lobster is a split Maine lobster served with scallion fingerling potato salad and grilled corn off the cob. The dish begins with fresh a fresh 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pound Maine lobster, which is seasoned with a blend of spices, including ginger, red Thai curry and garlic, and then grilled.

All items on the Bongo Bar’s menu are priced at $20 or less. In addition to the Spiced Lobster the menu features: Ahi tuna nachos, lobster mac and cheese, filet mignon medallions, crab and shrimp cake and the Bongo Platter, honey roasted wings, portobello stack and grilled pizza.

Bongo Express Leads To Happy Hour

Have you ever whined that the Moshulu is too far away for that happy hour drink? Well no more whining, the Bongo Express will pick you and your friends up at 15 spots in Old City, Center City and Northern Liberties and deliver you to the Bongo Deck of the Moshulu every Thursday. 

Too sweeten the deal even further upon boarding the Bongo Express, a “Moshulu Mermaid” will hand you a coupon good for a happy hour drink special.

The Bongo Express runs every 15 minutes on Thursdays throughout the summer from 4 to 8 PM. Bongo Express stops after the jump.
