The Washington Square West Civic Association Zoning & Gov Affairs Committee Meeting Agenda for Tuesday, December 22nd has this interesting agenda item:

• 1100 Chestnut Street – Milkboy Coffee/restaurant and live music

Milkboy Coffee currently operates in Ardmore and Bryn Mawr as coffee house restaurant combinations with live music. Both of the suburban locations are BYO with a $5 corkage fee.

Update: Michael Klein has more on the Center City Milkboy. It would be a two-floor venue with coffee shop and bar downstairs and a performance venue upstairs. [The Insider]

707 Restaurant & Bar is looking for a late April opening. “30-seat bar borders a cozy lounge; in the back, a tableclothed-yet-informal dining area will accommodate about 65.”[Feeding Frenzy, City Paper]
