Scrumptious & A Bargain

Posted by Foobooz on 5th October 2009

We like the word scrumptious though we don’t hear it nearly enough. So we were excited to see it used by Craig LaBan to describe the sushi at Aki Japanese Fusion on Walnut Street. That the rolls are also a bargain puts it to the top of our must-try list.

Among the options are a $8.50 deal at lunch and an all-you-can-eat sushi bonanza for $24.95.

Expanding Hours

Posted by Foobooz on 1st September 2009

There’s nothing sadder than having your heart set on a bar and getting there and realizing it isn’t open on Mondays, or for lunch, or at 2:02am.

Well a couple of places are expanding their hours for fall. Starting Saturday, September 12th, both Tria Cafe locations are going to be open for weekend lunch . That means longer Sunday School! More hours of school and you’re actually happy about it.

The Sidecar Bar & Grille is adding Monday hours starting on September 14th and they’re celebrating the 7th day of work in fine fashion with a firkin of Bell’s Two Hearted Ale at 5pm.

Lunch Today

Posted by Foobooz on 30th July 2009

romantic_postcard

What to do for lunch today? Butcher & Singer figures to be a mob scene again today. Shank’s is an option but is the A/C working? Well whatever you decide, if you wind up near Liberty Place pop in and send a postcard bragging about your fine lunch options or perhaps suggesting it’s time for a more romantic get together.

Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing is aiming to send out 5,000 Philadelphia themed postcards out to friends and family inviting them to experience Philly. Help them out by filling out a postcard between 12 and 2 at Liberty Place.
