The Kibitz Room is offering a heck of a deal, they’re selling their corned beef sandwich for just $4.95, that’s just less than half the $10 regular price. The deal lasts through October.

Zahav will be open to the public for a reception in conjunction with a photographic exhibition by
Michael T Regan. The event is from 6 to 9pm and is free to attend. NOTE: This is just a sneak peek. The actual restaurant opening will happen in the first week of May. [

Craig LaBan can’t resist a litany of kosher puns in his review of
Max & David’s, the new kosher restaurant in Elkins Park.
But Max & David’s is more than just a mensch amongst unmensch-ionables. With a menu that ranges from five-spice roasted duck to Indian-curried chicken and ice “creams” made with coconut and almond milk, it is a coming-out party for the possibilities of kosher cookery.

Hershels Eastside Deli is coming soon to the Reading Terminal Market. An old-fashioned Jewish deli offering both lunch items and traditional Jewish specialties to take home. Hershels will occupy the current Spataros location and plans to be open in July.
