Have you seen the spreadsheet with all of the Philadelphia happy hours in it? It was first e-mailed to us on Friday. We overheard it being talked about on Saturday. And this morning we’ve found it’s now a Google Spreadsheet.
It’s someone’s painstaking work of listing a huge number of Philadelphia area happy hours, broken down by day.
It looks like some of the specials are a bit dated but it’s still an impressive piece of work. Anyone have any idea where it came from?

Rick Nichols had his nose pressed against the glass as he waited for the third generation of Minks to open this latest version of the Oyster House.
By 4:55 p.m., Sam Mink, at 33 the latest family member to run the haunt, had final words for the servers: Please, he implored, keep refilling the big goblets of oyster crackers; and mind the horseradish pots, too.
No spotlights swept the wet sky. No evidence of an event planner was in sight. Sam’s father, David, in a maroon polo shirt, swept off the front doormat with a hand broom.
This was the softest of soft openings. But old customers had no trouble sniffing it out.
Happy hour starts next week. It’ll run Monday through Friday, 5 to 7 pm. One of the oyster varieties will be $1 a piece and all wine, sparkling and otherwise will be $5. Draft beers will be $3.

No Twitter and no wheels but Ansill Food + Wine is the first Philadelphia spot to get with the Korean taco trend. The bottom up fusion first came to prominence via a taco truck in Los Angeles and has already made its way to New York.
In Philadelphia, David Ansill’s Korean line cook Ann Miller has added shortrib and braised pork belly tacos with sweet and spicy Korean chili sauce to the Happy Hour (Tuesday through Saturday – 6 to 8 pm) menu. Get them for $5 each.

Ansill Food + Wine wants you to be a regular. Dine at Ansill and you get a coupon good for 50% off your second entree of equal or lesser value when you return for dinner within two weeks.
Gone this spring however are Monday hours where you would often spot chefs from other restaurants enjoying their day off.
But the loss of a dependable Monday night dining spot is made up for with a new Saturday night happy hour. Like Tuesday through Thursday, happy hour is from 6 to 8pm and includes $1 oysters, $5 martinis, $5 sparkling wine and $3 draft beer.
