Tom Drinker’s West will be the name of the 250-seat pizzeria and pub from Avram Hornik (Drnker’sPub, Drinker’s Tavern, Lucy’s Hat Shop) set for University City this month. Elsewhere in UCity, Sang Kee is also hoping to open this month, City Tap House is aiming for after Christmas and Landmark Americana on Drexel’s campus is targeting February. [The Insider]

On Wednesday, October 22nd, Friday Saturday Sunday will offer a 5 course menu paired with wine. The cost is $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. Matthew Esser, from Shiffrin Selections and Friday Saturday Sunday’s Weaver Lilley, will be pouring and chatting with diners about the selected wines.

Friday Saturday Sunday is celebrating its 35th anniversary and Sunday through Friday the 15th the oldest restaurant in Center City Philadelphia is offering a 3 course dinner for $35 including some golden oldies from the past.

The centerpiece and “instant swank” is the 135 gallon fish tank. Perfect for couples and people who don’t want to get sucked into watching TV all night.
