Craig LaBan is going to give Brauhaus Schmitz the bell treatment this Sunday. In yesterday’s online chat he had this to say about the schweinshaxe:
The schweinshaxe at Brauhaus Schmitz, to be reviewed this weekend,is something every pork lover should try. Slow-roasted rotisserie pig knuckles (shank, that is) are a porcine beauty to behold – tender meat, wrapped in a layer of downy fat, ringed by a cracker-crisp band of cracklin’ skin.

Craig LaBan had off this past weekend but he’ll be back with a review we’re intrigued to read. He’ll be checking out Bibou, the French BYOB just off the Italian Market.
David Snyder has already declared it Philadelphia’s best French bistro. Adam Erace admitted he had to resort to nitpicking to find anything to complain about and Joy Manning of Philadelphia Magazine gave it a glowing A-.

Craig LaBan will be running Union Trust through the wringer this week. He smacked around Del Frisco’s pretty good in his one-bell review of the 15th and Chestnut meat den. Butcher & Singer did much better garnering 3-bells but he did fiercely snipe the manager. How will the oppulent Union Trust fare?

Bhiladelphia visits Cherry Hill’s Seasons 52 where he discovers “loooong flat bread,” salad in tubes and dessert in shot glasses. He doesn’t weigh in with much of an opinion but does provide some photos of the meal.
