Spring At Meme

Posted by Foobooz on 17th April 2009

Meme 2201 Spruce

Spring has sprung at Mémé and there are some new dishes on the menu:

  • Scallops with green tomato marmalade and chive oil.
  • Kurabuta Pork Chop with peas, spring onion and fork mashed potatoes
  • Meme Steak with blue cheese hash browns, local green beans and red wine.

An outdoor dining permit is about two weeks away and Chef David Katz now has a smoker to play with.

Katz has also changed up his Thursday lunch offering. It’s going to be fried chicken, a biscuit and a bottle of Miller High Life for $11! Rotating sides like mac n’ cheese, coleslaw, cornbread and baked beans will also be available.

Mémé Is Memorable

Posted by Foobooz on 11th December 2008

Mémé

David Snyder dines at David Katz’s Mémé and is taken back to a world less complicated.

For Katz, “rustic” and “simple” are not terms of limitation — they’re opportunities to impress. While the kitchen builds all of its plates with elements that have compatible chemistries, Mémé is at its best when it applies a technique in an inventive way to make classic flavors taste even better than you remember.
