Phillyist heads to Erawan Thai Cuisine at 23rd and Sansom for a Thai banquet and learns what “spicy” really is.
the papaya salad caused the most pain, as the chiles were hot! The duck larb, a crispy preparation of ground duck served over chilled greens, was the table favorite until the next course, chili-crusted red snapper arrived.
Phillyist felt the banquet was worth it, but if you’re worried about spicy, tell the staff ahead of time.
The banquet costs $40 a person and does not include alcohol as Erawan is a BYOB.
