Adam Erace does breakfast, lunch and dinner at Du Jour on South Broad and finds it best before noon.
Think fluffy, triple-stacked flapjacks griddled with lovely vanilla-roasted peaches right in the batter, and amazing coconut-custard brioche French toast, like eating macaroons for breakfast.
The berries scattered atop a bowl of creamy Irish oatmeal were too ripe, and the half-moons of avocado upon the surf-and-turf eggs Benedict had oxidized into bruised black boomerangs, but that Benedict itself? Best thing I’ve eaten before noon in a while.

Thanks to a Foobooz tipster we’ve learned there are big doings at the base of Commerce Square at 20th and Market. The old 2021 and if you’re older, Cutters is being turned into an Asian Fusion restaurant by noted interior design firm, Jeffrey Beers International.
Also announced today is that the third DuJour Market is going to be opening in the complex where the Saladworks was previously.
This is all in addition to the Pagano’s Market that is going into the former Marathon Grill location.
