It’s The Pizza At Dock Street

Dock Street Pizza

Eat Beat might like beer but what might make you a regular at Dock Street Brewery & Restaurant is the pizza. And we have to agree, the wood-fired oven gives each pizza a perfect smoky taste that might even outshine the fresh beer.

Beer Is Good For The Neighborhood

Posted by Foobooz on 24th August 2007

Back when we were taking some City Planning courses a couple years ago we had the novel concept of doing a paper on neighborhood gastropubs as a source of neighborhood rebirth. The basic idea being that these pubs served as a neighborhood living room and beacon of invitation. Well now Joe Sixpack is on board as he writes that the new Dock Street Brewery and Restaurant could be a catalyst for neighborhood improvement.

Johnny Brenda’s At The Linc

Posted by Foobooz on 17th August 2007

Johnny Brenda’s

As you may have noticed we’ve been kind of vacationing this week but we wanted to make sure you checked out Joe Sixpack’s article today. Joe gives a good rundown of what went wrong at Indepence Brew Pub, $43,000 a month rent for one. But the cool note he has is that Johnny Brenda’s is going to be at the Linc this fall. We’re having a hard time getting our brains around that but we’ll definitely try the grilled pork and meatball sandwiches when we get down there.
