Foobooz was recently lamenting the lack of rooftop dining in Philadelphia. There’s
Continental Midtown and…. There’s Continental Midtown and umm…. Well in West Chester there’s
Coyote Crossing.
Try out Coyote Crossing’s rooftop happy hour. When you purchase a Happy Hour drink Monday through Friday 5:00 – 7:00 PM, you receive a plate of tapas on top of your glass. Did you know that tapas means “cover” in Spanish. The story goes, an item, be it bread or cheese, etc., would often be placed on top of a drink to protect it from fruit flies. No word on what protected the bread or cheese from the flies. Discounted drinks include $4 Glasses of selected wines, $7 Daily margarita specials and $3 Dos Equis XX.
After happy hour stick around for dinner and order make-it-yourself-soft-shell-crab tacos. Sounds delicious.

We sat down with
Kerry at the
Aspen in Fairmount and hammered out a list of our favorite summer drinks.
Schuylkilltiini - Despite the first inclination to not drink anything with the word Schuylkill in it the Schuylkilltini is the Water Works fun take on the martini, complete with Swedish fish.
Orange Mojito – Orange and mint? It doesn’t work with drinking OJ after brushing your teeth but works great in Amada’s drink.
Sangria - There’s a fair amount of places to get sangria nowadays, but few places can beat the outside dining area at Coyote Crossing in Conshohocken.
Mojito - Mojitos make the list twice. Madness you say? Mojito Madness at the Ritz Carlton, we say.
Sly Fox Saison Vos – Look for it in 25-ounce bottle at the new Foodery at Second and Poplar.
007 - The drink that inspired the list, try one of Kerry’s Stoli O, orange juice and Seven Up concoctions at the Aspen.
