Marty Grims (Du Jour, Moshulu, White Dog) has re-conceptualized his DuJour Gourmet at Broad and Pine into Chew Man Chu, a dumpling, noodle and wok restaurant. It opens today.

Marty Grims is set to open Chew Man Chu on Wednesday, October 28th. It’ll be classic Asian dishes prepared by chef Wong Ophaso. Ophaso has experience around the world in French and Asian restaurants.
Muffaletta, fried oyster po boys, beignets and more ‘Nalins cuisine will be available at Beck’s Cajun Cafe at the Reading Terminal Market.
The Tap House is now officially City Tap House and the 75 tap bar and restaurant is aiming for a December opening. [Daily Pennsylvanian]

Chew Man Chu is a new dumpling, noodle and wok restaurant replacing Marty Grim’s DuJour at the Symphony House at Broad and Pine. Tyson Wong Ophaso is the chef with extensive experience in France, New York, Los Angeles and now in Philadelphia. He’ll also run Marty Grim’s Commerce Square restaurant which is looking like 2010. Grub Street has details on Square 1682 in the Kimpton Hotel at 17th and Sansom. Former Charlie Trotter second-in-command, Guillermo Tellez will be the chef. Sounds promising. [Grub Street]
Texas Wieners is opening in Collingswood. Grand opening of the long time South Philadelphia staple is September 12th.
