Nectar’s Scott Morrison and Executive Chef Dan Kremin of Barclay Prime and Buddakan are partnering to open Floret in Radnor in the space that is currently Pond. There will be a lounge and restaurant menu with everything from burgers to Amish raised chicken coq au vin. Opening is set for December.
Morimoto has added an upscale cheesesteak to its menu in honor of the Phillies being in the World Series. It’s made with wagyu beef and topped with sweet soy sauteed onions, enoki mushrooms and grilled scallions on an Amoroso roll. The sandwich is served with house made made tonkatsu sauce (Japanese ketchup), pommes frites and a seasonal salad for $35.
Also added to the menu is Cracker Jack ice cream for a chilly $10.
Campo’s in Old City is holding a contest to create and name your own cheesesteak.
You come up with the ingredients and the oh-so-clever name and if you’re named the winner you get fame and the steak on the menu for a month at Campo’s. Additionally, 10% off all proceeds from the wining sandwich go to Helen’s Hope.
