Posted by Foobooz on 2nd February 2009

Good or bad, we’ve really tried to ignore all these Top Whatever Lists but we admit to being intrigued over Rate Beer’s Top 50 Beer Bars list.

Philadelphia is represented by Norristown’s Capone’s at number 9 and Monk’s Cafe at 16.

Embarassingly, we’ve been to several of the Belgian listings and still haven’t made it to Capone’s.

Posted by Foobooz on 15th January 2009

… On such a winter’s day.

We immediately thought of  the Mamas and the Papas” California Dreaming” when we heard that Capone’s was pouring 15 different California beers today. I Am Beer Wise thought Soundgarden. but no matter what your internal soundtrack, consider the sojourn to Norristown to drink beers from Stone, Russian River, Green Flash, Left Coast and more.
