NachosNY.com is just what it sounds like, a nacho site out of New York. They review nachos and offer “Chos Before Hoes” t-shirts. Lee Frank who runs the site is originally from Philadelphia and is going to be hosting a “curated” nacho crawl here on Saturday, November 28th. $10 will get you nachos at the Royal Tavern, Taqueria Veracruzana La Lupe and Cantina Los Caballitos.
RSVPs are a necessity. Email to lee@nachosny.com.

Philadining had our eyes as wide as saucers as he described “the best bar snack in the city,” pork wings at Cantina Los Caballitos.
As far as I know, they haven’t been doing any weird genetic modifications to cause pigs to sprout wings, these are actually pork shanks, with the bones frenched to make convenient handles.

Cantina Los Caballitos has a decadent evening coming up. Tuesday, August 28th at 9 PM the Cantina is hosting another edition of its Tequila Club. This time the 6 after-dinner tequilas and 4 desserts will be featured. These tequilas are sipped and savored much like a French cognac, not slammed down like you’re on spring break in Cancun.
Featured Tequilas and desserts after the jump.

This Tuesday is a night for the 100% agave faithful. Join Cantina Los Caballitos as they explore Blancos, tequila in its purest form, direct from the still. These tequilas spend little to no time aging in wood and therefore, after bottling, remain fresh and true to the agave nose and taste.
Chef Mark McKinney has prepared a tasting menu to highlight the various attributes and compliment the the six Blanco tequilas to be tasted.
The tasting begins at 9 PM and costs $25. Get reservations by calling Los Caballitos at (215) 755-3550.
