It’s Donovan’s Fault

Posted by Foobooz on 4th September 2009

Why did John Kerry lose the presidential election to George W. Bush? Because like Donovan McNabb, Kerry believes a cheesesteak is best served with Swiss Cheese.

It’s true or at least as true as anything else on donovansfault.com a site where absolutely everything is blamed on Eagles Quarterback Donovan McNabb.

Itsdonovansfault.com is a production of iSportacus, a sister site to Foobooz.com. Check it out, it beats working on the Friday before Labor Day. And please tell us what you blame Donovan McNabb for as well.

Grub Street Comes To Town

Posted by Foobooz on 10th July 2009

grubstphlNew York Magazine’s Grub Street is going national, launching Sunday in five new markets including Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Philadelphia. It’s a heady sign of the times that Philadelphia was chosen above food cities like New Orleans, Washington DC and Portland.

Kirsten Henri, who has been lending a guiding hand at Foobooz for the last year and a half, will be writing the Philadelphia version of Grub Street.

I’m very happy for Kirsten and much like when she was writing regularly for Foobooz, I will be eagerly awaiting her posts.

Philadelphia’s tide of food blogs has risen again and we’re all the richer for it.

No, we’re not talking about XIX, although you will find its fancy outdoor terraces listed in our new Outdoor Dining Guide. We’re talking about our menu bar where you’ll now find that brand-new Outdoor Dining Guide as well as the Jobs section we introduced this morning.

Check out the Outdoor Guide for where to go to dine al fresco, even filter the list by where you can dine beyond the din of city sidewalks.

The guide is just in beta so please e-mail us comments, suggestions, updates or omissions. Tips@foobooz.com.
