Adam Erace is reviewing Mike Stollenwerk’s fish for next week’s Philadelphia Weekly but he has the brunch menu on his blog.
There is less fish and more eggs including eye-widening choices like baked eggs with lobster, shitake and sea urchin emulsion not to mention foie gras stuffed French toast.
Also starting on January 31st, Stollenwerk’s is bringing his Sunday night $28 five-course pre-fixe to his bigger fish.

We’re updating our popular Recession Specials feature. We’ve added wallet saving deals like Sidecar’s Pork Me Sundays where all pork offerings are half off after 3pm.For the next couple days we’ll be rolling out each day’s specials. If you’ve got some suggestions of your own, please add them to the comments. In a week we’ll compile the additions and roll them all into Recession Specials 2.0.
Note, the requirements are these deals include a food component, this is not a drinking guide (not that there’s anything wrong with that, we’re just trying to keep it focused).

There’s nothing sadder than having your heart set on a bar and getting there and realizing it isn’t open on Mondays, or for lunch, or at 2:02am.
Well a couple of places are expanding their hours for fall. Starting Saturday, September 12th, both Tria Cafe locations are going to be open for weekend lunch . That means longer Sunday School! More hours of school and you’re actually happy about it.
The Sidecar Bar & Grille is adding Monday hours starting on September 14th and they’re celebrating the 7th day of work in fine fashion with a firkin of Bell’s Two Hearted Ale at 5pm.
