Ten Days of Olde Bartholomew Barleywine
Posted by Foobooz on December 22nd, 2009
Yards Brewing is releasing Olde Bartholomew Barleywine on New Year’s Eve. OBB is the biggest beer yet out of the Delaware Avenue brewery and who wouldn’t want to celebrate that?
It all starts at Dawson Street Pub in Manayunk, the first bar to ever pour Yards beer way back in 1995. The firkin of the 10.3% Barleywine is set to be tapped at 5pm.
Things continue on New Year’s Day in South Philadelphia where a firkin will be tapped at 1pm at Devil’s Den.
Check out the rest of the 10 days of Olde Bartholomew Barleywine after the jump.
- Saturday 1/2/10 – Varga Bar 5pm – Frikin (on the handpump!)
- Sunday 1/3/10 – Swift Half Pub 1pm – Firkin (plus the Eagles vs the Cowboys)

As the case of Weyerbacher Insanity in my basement tells me, barleywines better with age. Bottles on this?
And did PBC ever do another batch of Philabuster or did they drop that?

tried a sample of the yards barleywine yesterday and it was remarkably delicious… really balanced for such a big/aggresive style of beer… can’t wait to try it again!

Old Bart’s will only be available on draft. And a very limited run of that.

Boo.
So whatever happened to PBC’s Philabuster. I was hoping that would become a seasonal regular.

Just a note, it’s been on draft at James for about a week, and their drafts usually last a while…

Tria’s got it slated for Sunday, and I’m guessing a keg’ll surface at Split Thy Skull in a few months.
