Hey Wegmans, how bout you stop being so anti-urban and actually open a store the philadelphia residents can get to in under half an hour.

A Wegmans could fit on the Schmidt’s site at 2nd and Girard.

I was thinking the same thing. I absolutely love Wegmans, but not taking a trip to Jersey or the PA burbs if I want to shop there. A store in Philly would make me so happy.

Don’t hold your breath. Wegmans has been closing stores in the downtown areas of its hometown (Rochester NY) and concentrating on bigger and bigger stores out in the burbs. It would be very surprising to see them deviate from that trend.
