Percy Street Texas Field Trip

Posted by Foobooz on October 29th, 2009

The Percy Street Barbecue team of Steve Cook, Erin O’Shea and Michael Solomonov headed to Texas to research barbecue and find the perfect brisket. Filmaker Chandler Kaufman went along and documented the trip. Check out the video on the Percy Street site.

Their favorite place? Smitty’s Barbecue. Lockhart, Texas.

Percy Street is still aiming for a November opening. Probably the third week.

um yes because smitty’s is amazing!!!!!!!!!! easily the best brisket i’ve ever eaten in my life and excellent sausage too. i love that smokey nook where you order. as for texas bbq, second goes to that place near enchanted rock in fredericksberg….oh yeah, cooper’s!!!! awesome outdoor pits with the longest shovels i’ve ever seen.

if percy street can make brisket even half zas good as smitty’s i will be there all the time.
