Breaking: Capogiro to South Street

Posted by Foobooz on October 13th, 2009

Capogiro

A tipster gives us a heads-up that a Capogiro is looking to open at 227-229 South Street in a portion of the old Chef’s Market. The information comes from the South Street Headhouse District meeting agenda which has a zoning variance for the gelateria on the agenda.

Also among the new business is a BODHI Coffee Shop variance at 410 S 2nd Street.

227 South St, Philadelphia, PA

This is the best news I’ve had so far this week. I’ll be getting fat right along with Herb.

I’m going to be sandwiched between the Passyunk Ave. Capogiro and the South St. Capogiro. I will be the size of Herb and Amanda put together!

Interesting choice of real estate. They are going to be next door to ritas, across the street from hagan daz and a few blocks east of Phileo. Can they all survive at once?

    6. Omar Says:

I live near Capogiro 13th and work near Capogiro 20th. Being sandwiched between gelato is pretty awesome.

I don’t get the comment about subpar gelato at Stella. We had the olive oil and it was fabulous.
