And The Most Expensive Burger Goes To….
Posted by Foobooz on October 23rd, 2009

The most expensive burger in town has been the Whiskey King at Jose Garces’ Village Whiskey but starting next Wednesday, you’ll be able to pay more for the World F*cking Champion burger at P.Y.T.
In time for game one of the World Series Tommy Up will be debuting an 8 ounce venison patty topped with foie gras and served with sweet potato chips and a sparkler for $25.
In other P.Y.T. related news, Mac & Cheese gives a run down on the veggie and boozy options at the Northern Liberties burger lounge.

Wow, Tommy Up…foie gras on a burger, how original of you. First Stephen Starr, now I guess you’re trying to go head to head with Jose Garces, by annoucing that you will now have the most expensive burger in the city? How about you focus on bettering the lousy service and food at your restaurant, instead of always focusing your energy on trying to one-up the well known, successful restauranteurs in this city, who you don’t stand a chance against…

A gilded Lilly does not always taste great. I’ll put the signature burger @ Derek’s up against any in the city.

When I see a sparkler going by in a burger, it tells me the guy who ordered it is a BALLER

It’s a $20 sparkler. The burger only cost $5.

only tommy up would create a burger with a sparkler, because he’s the type of a$$ who would actually order one

I dont know how i feel about the burger idea, but i definitely agree that something has to be done about the service at this place. Almost everyone that works there is just downright rude. When the buzz wears off this scenster oasis it will already be too late to correct these sorts of basic problems.
