Penn State Football On Penn’s Campus

Posted by Foobooz on August 19th, 2009

blockley1If you’re a Penn State football fan or lover of all things fried, you might be interested in this deal from the Blockley Pourhouse.

During all Penn State games (first game is September 5th vs the Akron Zips) the Blockley will offer all you can eat wings, corn dogs, fries and onion rings for $10. There are also some beer deals but they don’t come up to the minimum quality requirements to be mentioned on Foobooz.

Also, through the end of the baseball season the Blockley will be offering $1 Jumbo Hebrew National All Beef hot dogs during all Phillies games.

    I love it!

Now I’m just curious how bad it really is…

Quality??….rotating, dogfish head, yards, stoudts, victory and brooklyn isn’t quality enough??. From what I can tell the blockley does nothing but support LOCAL craft beer at its finest. You can’t beat that, i don’t care what belgium or german beer you have on tap, i support any bar that highlights something from own backyard all the time!!

  3. Barry G Says:

Nick I don’t think the issue is what types of beers they have on tap.

So is Blockley a normal bar now or what? I tried to go in there for a drink at 7:30 one night and they were charging a $7 cover for some band that wasn’t on yet and I had no interest in seeing

  4. Horace Steenblatter Says:

The Penn State beer specials aren’t beers like Dogfish Head, Yards etc. It’s crap like Lionshead and Bud Light bottles.

  5. Tex Says:

I’m confused: isn’t Penn football always at Penn? I never miss a chance to drink to Joe Paterno, but what’s new about this?
