Nick’s Charcoal Pit Impresses

Nick’s Charcoal Pit at 13th and Snyder gets lots of love from the venerable Holly Moore (who has been getting lots of press of his own) and from Drawing for Food. Holly gives 5 grease stains to Nick’s charcoal broiled filet topped with spinach and cheese and served on a Sarcone’s seeded roll.

Drawing for Food likes the ribs and the wings but favors the split hot dog covered in bacon and Cheez Whiz.

We think we’re going to have to go on an empty stomach.

One of the best deals is their chicken and baby back rib platter…its enough food for like 2-3 people (I usually eat it myself b/c I have little shame) for 12 bucks.

  2. David G Says:

A couple of years ago my roommate and I used to order from here a bunch. Seems like it was a bit hit or miss, but when it hit, it really hit.

  3. Josh A Says:

The hot sausage sandwich with spinach and cheese is real good too. Real hot italian sausage on a Sarcone’s roll. Slap some brown mustard on it, wow.

  4. The Interventionist Says:

I hear to boost the hit over miss ratio, it’s better to do take out than rely on delivery.
