So where would you have to eat if you were moving out of town? Femme Fermental is facing that question as she prepares to head off to pursue her PhD. in New England.
She’s doing pretty well for herself, having recently dined at the impossible to get in Talula’s Table and had the suckling pig dinner at Amada.
So if you were leaving Philadelphia for good. What restaurants and bars would be on your bucket list?

my before-you-go list would have to include brunch at Lacroix, the bacon cheese fries at Honey’s, and as many flavors at capogiro as could be tackled before departure!

I second L’Angolo…but Zahav’s hummus and fried cauliflower dishes, Tacc’s margherita pie, Chifa’s pork belly buns, John’s Roast Pork Cheesesteak, Sakura’s soup dumplings, Meme’s fried chicken, Bibou’s trotter, Sang Kee’s house special duck fried rice, P&K Windsor Burger, and a Cake Shake to finish it off. Wash it down with all the Pikeland and Stoudt’s Pils, Exit 11, Nugget Nectar, and Cape of Good Hope I could handle.
I would be full and drunk. It would be a long meal.

Some good Pho from Washington Avenue (Nam Son is my go to), sandwiches from Paesano’s, a whirlwind tour of Chinatown faves, pizza from Taconelli’s, the burger at Oyster House as well as a couple dozen bivalves, and a stop in Sou’Filly for some real serious red gravy Italian at Dante & Luigi’s or Villa di Roma. For dessert I’d hit Capogiro, Yogorino and Naked Chocolate…
