So who’s the front runner to win this thing? Looks like there are only a few serious contenders…I’m excited to see what Matt Levin has up his sleeve.

I mean Starr is a joke right. What is he going to bring to this challange? Too bad there aren’t any points awarded for copying the restaurant ideas of others.
The only real BBQ is going to come from Levin’s RUBB, CISP Grill Masters, Bomb Bomb, Capt’n Dicks, Carolina Blue, Big Easy & Baby Blues.

Did anyone else try Rubb’s entry at the ballpark Saturday? It was absolutely disgusting. I threw it away after 3 bites. It was some pulled meat (thats how bad it was, couldnt even tell if it was chicken, pork or beef, but i suspect pork) and it was swimming in mustard seeds. Absolutely disgusting.

You can’t expect much from fancy restaurants bringing in their pre-boiled sauced up stuff….on the other hand it was good to see some real Q-ers gettin their product out there. When i showed up I couldnt get past Capt’n Dick’s which was at the front or the end whichever way you look at it, near the moon bounce…their pulled pork and sauce was out of this world

good to see some decent bbq folks and some real grillmasters…we tried Captain Dick’s, Baby Blues, Riverton CC and a few others, but I dont think we could get past the lines at Baby Blues BBQ and Riverton. They both had some really good “cue going, and it seemed their lines were overflowing for two hours.
Baby Blues had these enormous brontosaurus beef ribs that were out of this world, along with bbq shrimp and some kind of sauce they put on it that made it addictive as all get out. Riverton had these great lil beef brisket sammies with perfectly sized lil sweet-tasting rolls – very nice combo. I liked Captain Dick’s ribs, my partner did not like them as much, but we thought these three were the real deal.
