Michael Klein reports that Dmitri Chimes is adding a third location to his Dmitri’s empire. The grilled-octopus emporium is going in to the old Elixir Cafe on North 2nd Street. Opening is set for late September and like the original, it will be BYOB.

They should probably just focus on improving their current fare. We dined at the original location earlier in the summer and the octopus was dated with a peculiar odor, the rest of the food was average and the service was poor.

This is super news ! My wife and I had one of our first dates at Dmitris . Living right down the street, we will be sure to go many times. What a great addition to the already thriving Northern Liberties neighborhood ! The location is perfect for the restaurant being right in the middle of The Standard Tap / Dos Segundos and all the restaurants at the Piazza. N 2nd St is quickly becoming one of the best streets in all of Philadelphia for dining.
