Posted by Foobooz on June 4th, 2009

oyster_house_logoThe Oyster House is set to open today where the Sansom Street Oyster House stood for years. And it won’t just be the oysters that are familiar.

    • Reclaimed yellow pine tabletops
    • Oyster plates that adorn the wall are Mink family heirlooms
    • The front bar’s marble comes from paving slabs at Independence Mall

I can never really figure out why I never made it here before it closed, so I’ll have to make it a point to get to the new version. Shame is, none of my usual dining cohorts are raw bar fans, despite their love of sushi.

AMAZING!!!!!!! Great flavors, service, and classics. Go before you have to wait in line for a table.
