Honest Tom’s In Center City

Posted by Foobooz on June 9th, 2009

Honest Tom’s Taco Shop tweeted yesterday that they’re taking their truck on the road, this week stationing the vehicle at Broad and South. We took advantage of a lull in this morning’s apocalyptic downpour and sprinted down to the corner at about 7:45am. We watched lightning strike and the rain come down for 25 minutes or so but no sign of Honest Tom. Not that we blame him for lying low till the locusts receded but he claims he’ll be at the corner of BroSo all week from 8am to 2pm.

If anyone can bear witness, let us know.

Broad and Lombard. Tom says that he’s gonna try out the spot for a few weeks. If you haven’t tried, get out there!

That was an awesome taco!!!! And yes, best coffee in all the land!
(ground to order and French pressed)

Nobody at South or Lombard at 10 AM. Bummer: I want a taco!

Looks like Tom’s working on the truck all day today. Fish tacos at Clark Park tonight.

And again this morning around 9:45. He may be honest, but he’s disappointing some prospective fans by not showing up where he says he will. I must have this burrito!

Honest T told me personally, after trying out a few different locations and times this week he was going to work in Clark Park this Saturday and then take a few days off to head up to the mountains in an attempt to relax and possibly procreate, returning on Saturday to the park again, and then back to his regular spot on drexel’s campus that monday.

“trying out a few different locations”? I thought vendors were licensed to a specific location
