BBQ In Italian Market

Posted by Foobooz on April 17th, 2009

Bebe’s Barbecue is now open in the Italian Market across from Fante’s Kitchen Wares. The simple takeout spot has generated good word of mouth already, unfortunately they seem to close before 9pm so we haven’t checked it out firsthand.

Take a look at the affordable menu after the jump.

Pulled Pork Sandwich $5

Rib Platter $9

Pulled Pork Platter $8

1/2 Chicken Platter $8

Collard Greens $3.50

Mac-N-Cheese $3.50

Cole Slaw $1

Pie or Cake $3.75

Iced Tea $1

Coffee $0.75

1017 S 9th St, Philadelphia, PA

Hey Everybody, this is Mark From Bebe’s Barbecue. We are slowly coming online and are keeping irregular hours as we tweak our system and equipment. We will be open until 6 PM on most days, closed Mondays, and open until 2 on Sundays. Please come by and have a sample of our great food and sweet tea! Please mention this ad for a discount as well. Thanks, Mark A. Coates

Place is amazingly good. Hands down best in the City. Plus, the owner Mark is a great dude and is all about the Italian Market. He buys locally, as in next door to him.

i’ve had alot of cookout food and bbq food in my day from across this great country. i’m not going to say this is #1 in the country; BUT, it is the best tasting bbq in philly i’ve had (pulled pork is what i had) since i was in new Orleans or Atlanta. Please try this. sweet but still tangy the way good bbq should be. the meat is quality – also not drenched in sauce or dry.
