We were lucky enough to see Philly Beer Week’s Hammer of Glory last night. It’s a smart looking firkin tapper and it’s going to be getting a Olympic Flame worthy run around town tomorrow.
The relay starts at 3pm at the Grey Lodge and hits up at least six spots on its way to the Comcast Center. Along the way it’ll visit both Philadelphia Brewing Co. and Yards Brewing where it will be assisted by members of Philly RollerGirls. The last stretch will have Ben Franklin on a tandem bike, delivering the hammer to Mayor Michael Nutter who will tap the first keg of Beer Week at the Opening Tap event.
