This photo was taken on July, 28th 1941. Can you name what restaurant currently resides at this location? Can you? Can you?

    Gotta be Jack’s Firehouse

  4. dmac Says:

It’s definitely Ladder 15. The top half of the building is almost exactly the same. The one building next to it looks almost the same, too.

  5. SH Says:

    I’m going with Jack’s also.

  6. Satten Says:

This is undoubtedly where Ladder 15 is today.

  7. Dan Says:

I think it’s Jack’s Firehouse. It looks exactly the same. But I’ve never seen ladder 15

    maybe there were in 1941

  10. Abny Says:

actually, you’re right. i don’t think it’s jack’s. jack’s only has one set of doors and it’s more squared off. i’m about as good at this as i was at my ncaa bracket!

It’s on Sansom Street. Nodding Head/SS Oyster House.

  12. Bri Guy Says:

    Undubitablely this is Ladder 15.

    Engine 44 on sansom street!

  14. Zoe Says:

Hmmm…I guess I’m wrong, but I was going to guess Dock Street Brew Pub.

    Jack’s

    Jack’s on Fairmount

  17. Jimmy Says:

Ladder 15 – I was there on Sat. night. Dinner was not being served. Crowd was far from sophisticated. Many drinking Coors light bottles and “Stoli.”

  18. Greg Says:

Walked by on Saturday also- couldnt have been more disappointed- it was Mad River West. Sigh.

  19. Sam Says:

    Definitely Jack’s Firehouse.

  20. Foobooz Says:

Definitely not Jack’s Firehouse, this is without a doubt, the new Ladder 15 on Sansom Street.
