Devil’s Den Much Delayed Grand Opening

Posted by Foobooz on March 30th, 2009

When Devil’s Den opened they got kind of busy and never got around to a Grand Opening. But now, a year later they’re finally going to throw a big party complete with $1 off beers and a complimentary buffet.

Oh and did we mention the beers? When the event kicks off Wednesday at 7pm there will be great beers from Russian River, Bell’s, Allagash, Ommegang and many others. And because one night isn’t enough, there will be special drafts the rest of the week including rare beers like Hitachino Nest White Ale, St. Feuillien Printemps and much more.

I was just there last night.
The beer is great, but the food is still consistently bad. Everyone at the table was disappointed with their meal. I keep giving them chances with the food, but I think I’ll stop.

this conflicts with the POPE brewer’s macaroni & cheese off!

ben–shhhhhhhh….more mac & cheese for us!

Yeah. The food needs to be better. For the prices they charge I expect really good bar food like misconduct tavern or good dog. It is a shame since I really like the beer they serve.

I’ll third the food comment — El Tuerto and Mike are dead on. Hopefully things get a little better because it’s really a great spot otherwise. What’s this Macaroni & Cheese Off all about? I can’t find any info on that.
