Capogiro To East Passyunk

Posted by Foobooz on February 26th, 2009

Capogiro

Michael Klein reports in the last item in his Table Talk column today that Capogiro is looking for at a South Philadelphia location for its fourth store.

We’ve learned that Paradiso will likely have a new next door neighbor as Capogiro is set to take over half of the old Roselena’s Coffee Bar. The other half would still become Michael’s Cafe and the whole East Passyunk Avenue area has just become richer.

1625 E Passyunk Ave, Philadelphia, PA

I hope that comes to pass. I was just walking home from the Sweat on East Passyunk Ave, and even now, with the economy what it is, there is a rehab under way on every block in the area. If they put a Capogiro there, I will probably never be able to move away.

I’ve heard they’re going West – and it will have a BAR!

I think the W. Philly location will be store #3. I wonder if S. Philly will have a bar as well. I need motivation to go to the gym.

Yes, the West Philadelphia Capogiro will be the third location and when it opens (scheduled for April) it will feature Gelato Cocktails.
