London’s Surf Or Turf Bargain

Posted by Foobooz on January 23rd, 2009

londonToday’s Wall Street Journal has a dour look at the restaurant scene nationwide. But being that we’re silver lining types of people, we want to highlight the London Grill deal mentioned in the article.

You and up to three guests to join us for a three-course dinner.  The menu includes your choice of Fresh Maine Lobster or Filet of Beef, with salad and dessert, for $18.95 per person.  For an additional $10, we’ll hand-select two glasses of wine to pair with your first two courses.

Please make reservations though, just so they know how much lobster and fillets they’ll be needing.

The description of the dinner is very misleading. The “Lobster” is in fact, part of a lobster tail and claw on a very small bed of over peppered pasta. The “Wine pairing” if an offer of 2 glasses of their house chardonnay and Merlot for $10. Overall, the meal was decent, but not something I’d highlight in the WSJ.
