The Tap Room on 19th

Posted by Foobooz on November 5th, 2008

Adam Erace discovers that there are tasty bargains all over the menu at South Philadelphia’s Tap Room on 19th.

On a recent Thursday, Lager and Yards were $2.50 and $3.50, respectively. Roast pork sandwiches and cheesesteak spring rolls oozing shaved rib-eye, provolone and fried onions cost $5. Chef Ross Essner, of the dearly departed Django, has peppered the week with bargains, luring in locals hungry for red-gravy alternatives.

This is not the South Philadelphia Taproom. This is a Rip – Off place that is trying to make people think they are the same owner as the real SPTR at 15th and Mifflin. Don’t be fooled folks. These places are totally different.

Your totally off your rocker. Do you know how many bars in Philadelphia are gastro pubs. Alot. If you like another establishment that’s fine go there. When you attack people who came in and cleaned up an old dirty bar and created a nice clean bar/resturant atmospere, you sound threatened. Luckily this is a free country and everyone gets to go where they feel comfortable even you. My friends and I LOVE this place. Food is great. Bartenders really nice. Check it out. Steak salad and Roast pork sandwich really good. God Bless America!!!
