Mmm, mmm, Modo Mio

The Daily Pennsylvanian’s 34th Street discovers North 3rd Street’s Modo Mio.

Our meal had incredible variety in taste. We tried everything from a morning “bruschetta” topped with a potato puree and smoked salmon, to a braised veal cheek accompanied by an over-easy egg, asparagus and truffled taleggio fonduta. We enjoyed a perfectly cooked scallop perched atop a flan-inspired patty, as well as the winter-ready spaghetti with lamb ragu. While the pepper skirt steak was not our favorite, the dessert that followed was a delicious tiramisu that complemented our espresso.
