Weekend

Posted by Foobooz on October 24th, 2008

Friday

There are a couple of pumpkin related options available tonight. Bridgid’s is pouring seven pumpkin taps this weekend and in the Northeast Dogfish Head Punkin Ale and Indian Brown will be on special at the Grey Lodge.

If you’ve spent too much time in bars this week on account of the Phillies, get your dancing on at Silk City.

Saturday

Brave the rain and bike to Earth Bread + Brewery. We can’t say enough good things about EB+B and good beer and pizza after a hearty bike ride seems just right. Joe Sixpack reports the Biere d’ Earth is about to kick so there might even be a new beer in the rotation.

Think biking in the rain is crazy. Then hunker down at Doobie’s where you can get 50 cents off Philadelphia Brewing Company beers just by asking. Where red and it’s $1 off. Sport your Phillies P and it’s $1.50 off.

Sunday

Saturday and Sunday The Book and The Cook are putting on a Foodie Venture Fair. There will be cookware and foods and cooking demonstrations by chefs and cookbook authors as well as interesting workshops that examine many facets of culinary enterprise and food preparation.
