Giant Pinata Coming To Town

Posted by Foobooz on October 29th, 2008

Carnival Cruise Lines is hoping to set a world record for largest piñata this Sunday at Broad and Washington. The six story piñata will be filled with more than 8,000 pounds of candy and will be destroyed by a wrecking ball.

The location for the bashing has been moved from 20th and Market to Broad and Washington, supposedly because of the World Series parade but that doesn’t make sense as every victory parade has gone down south Broad Street.

Might be better if they just blow it up for better distribution. I will definitely be there to see this.

WTF!!! Just like Sarah Palin, it was fascinating for a hot min and then you realize that this is a train wreck waiting to happen. We just won a World Series and, greedily, someone thought we fans needed more fun!! So “THEY” had to agree to the most potentially dangerous event…OVER A DAMN BOAT, A PINATA and CANDY! Do we really need more curses on our hands? Who ever decided to say yes to this for the City of Philadelphia and the World Series Champions needs a good slap in the face which hopefully knocks some sense…NEVER DO THIS AGAIN!! Luckily nothing…I mean nothing happened…just exhausted Phillies Phans jacked up on sugar. The idea of what could have happened brings shivers down my spine but thankfully we dodged another curse. Good Riddance Carnival and never come back. Go have fun some place else…maybe Tampa. We, here in Philadelphia, can have our own fun without you! GO PHILS!!

Philadelphians rejoiced this weekend when the pinata was busted open:
