Weekend

Posted by Foobooz on September 5th, 2008

Friday

Tonight from 5 to 7 pm at The Institute enjoy River Horse beers and artisan cheese for FREE.

Saturday

Well there are lots of things scheduled but they are all outdoors. The remnants of Hurricane Hanna look sure to make many a rain out. But the Kennett Square Mushroom Festival is a go no matter what. Or wait for Sunday as this is a two day event.

For something indoors, consider heading over to Foster’s Homeware where Michael O’Halloran of Bistro 7 will be showing his range. Range! Get it? Because it’s a cooking demonstration? Oh, you get it? it just isn’t funny? Sorry.

Sunday

With all that rain on Saturday, things are sure to be green at Philly’s GreenFest at 2nd and South.

It’s the kickoff of the NFL season and the Bishop’s Collar and St. Stephens Green are offering $3 Sly Fox Pils during the games. We’re thrilled to see someone offer a deal on something other than AnheuserBuschMillerCoors. If you know anyone else doing a craft beer special for football, drop us a line.

Between the storm and this post, this could have meant more cheese for me, but the Institute thing is Saturday.
