Jose Garces To Release Cookbook

Jose Garces will be releasing his first cookbook, Latin Evolution with a special luncheon at Amada on September 20th.

The $85 per person event will include a signed copy of Latin Evolution, a glass of Amada’s sangria and six dishes from the book, prepared by the chef.

Ceviche de Salmon, ivory king salmon with mustard cream, mint and orange

Heirloom Tomato Gazpacho with cucumber salad and crispy yellow tomato chips

Olive Oil Poached Halibut with chorizo croquettes and saffron emulsion

Madre e Hijo, or “Mother and Son,” sous vide truffled hen breast with fried egg, rosemary fingerling potatoes and truffled chicken jus

Ceviche de Alcachofas, confit artichoke with smoked marcona almond powder

Crema Catalana, vanilla custard with frozen strawberry gelee, sangria reduction, almond and cocoa nib praline, canella sticks and Grand Marnier whipped cream.

    how did i miss the big “at amada” in the original post? smh.

    Funny but i was at distrito friday night to try one of the Iron Chefs winning dishes and the book was on display by the hostess and was being sold for $35.

    Flipped through the book real quick and the recipes sound/look delicious but there was a shocking lack of pictures…

    Sure there were some but Id like to see more in a cookbook…
