Tria To G-Ho

Posted by Foobooz on July 1st, 2008

If we say it, maybe it’ll come true. Tria owner Jon Myerow says his third Tria won’t be at 6th and Bainbridge but he does admit that a third location is planned. Drew Lazor reports Bella Vista, Fairmount and Graduate Hospital are all being considered. Drew is voting for his neighborhood, G-Ho. The Graduate Hospital area is also home to the World Headquarters of Foobooz and we would like to second Drew’s vote. It seems like a no-brainer, for the press coverage alone!

And about that 6th and Bainbridge location with the fresh coat of green paint, it’s still looking for a restaurant dance partner.

No Tria at Sixth and Bainbridge … so how about G-Ho? [The Clog]

Our neighborhood needs some love! Tria, PLEASE set up shop in Graduate Hospital/G-HO/SWCC/Marian Anderson Heritage Village or whatever else it’s called. Fairmount has plenty of options, we are under-served.
    Thank you

This is insane. Philly is becoming diluted with the same rest/bars and and the same restaurateurs. Do we need 3 Tria? Do we need Starr to open up another overpriced restaurant serving family style (Hmmm, do I go to Continental in Old City, or Continental Mid-town…only 17 blocks west!)? Does Jose Garces need to expand his small empire yet again?

This can’t be healthy for the Philly food scene long term.

Fairmount doesn’t have anything close to a wine bar. Tria would be a no-brainer in the neighborhood.

Fairmount makes a lot of sense. However, having just relocated from just around the corner from the Gaybourhead Tria to South Philly, I lobby for Bella Vista. Say no to G-Ho with the rest of Philadelphia! No offense survivors of the Neutron Bomb strike that is that neighborhood.

Fairmount! we need something other than another gastropub (though I do love gastropubs).

I know I’m talking crazy, but what about West Philly?

    Bella Vista please!!!!!!

  8. Pete Says:

Fairmount residents would eat a place like Tria up. They’re more affluent than the G-Ho set and they have less dining options than Bella Vista residents.

  9. DKH Says:

Fairmount also has less population than Bella Vista and G-Ho and a number of craft beer places already in place. From a business perspective Fairmount would be the worst choice of the three.

Ok, I’m biased but aren’t we all? As a new resident of G-Ho, I would be ecstatic if Tria made the move south. I used to live in Center City and took both of Tria’s wonderfully central locations for granted. Now I hurt every Sunday for Sunday School and any other time I hanker for delicious cheese and wine or beer. G-Ho is seriously looking up (I wouldn’t have moved here if it weren’t). Besides, as much as I love Sidecar, I’ve got room for Tria as more than a side jawn. Tria, I love you baby.
