Weekend

Posted by Foobooz on June 6th, 2008

There is way too much going on this weekend. You’re likely to get heatstroke if you even try to get to half of the things going on.

Friday
Buttress First Friday activities with a Flying Dog tasting at the Foodery.

Saturday
Spanky at Memphis Taproom will be hoisting a firkin of Sprecher Black Bavarian onto the bar Saturday at noon and the German black lager will be available until it’s kicked. Also Euro 2008 kicks off at noon Saturday and if you like your soccer with less Irish and Brits, the Taproom might be a good bet.

Tomorrow evening brings us to the third leg of the Triple Crown. Misconduct Tavern is offering pastrami sandwiches and $3 Kenzingers from 4 to 7pm.

Not to mention the Roots Picnic at Festival pier.

Sunday
Show your face in Manayunk at the bike race. If you can’t bring yourself to do that visit Odunde at 23rd and South or head to the Philadelphia Brewing Co for their pig roast and Slow Food Philadelphia fundraiser.

It’s a busy hot weekend, check out our calendar for even more to do.
